Description: Description: Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) maintenance is more important than ever. Lack of or deferred maintenance can lead to failures of SCMs, contributing to downstream flooding, erosion, and water quality issues. Municipalities with MS4 permits are required to ensure certain SCMs are properly operated and maintained by the responsible party; these SCMs can also help to address MS4 pollutant reduction obligations. Municipal ordinances also require operations and maintenance (O&M) provisions for regulated activities that require stormwater permits. This presentation will review inspection procedures, common issues observed, regulatory driver behind O&M, and educating property owners on their responsibilities.

Attendees will earn one (1) PDH.
